Coca leaves or Erythoroxylum coca have their origins in Peru and Bolivia. The name derives from the Aymara word “Khoka” which means “tree”, while in Quechua it means “sacred”.
The Andean culture identifies and recognizes the “coca leaf” as an important element of nature within the beliefs, identity and customs of the peoples.
