IQUITOS – RIO AMAZONAS – SERPENTARIO – LODGE

Reception and welcome at the Amazon Rainforest Lodge with a local fruit drink; The guide will explain about the activities, give a brief orientation about your bungalow and the main facilities that has the Lodge.
We will enjoy a delicious lunch at the Lodge Restaurant called 'The Hungry Monkey'.
Afternoon free: We will relax in the pool, slide, jacuzzi, viewpoint with excellent panoramic view, the balcony a great view on the river Momon, watching the passage of the boats and the wild birds.

Bird watching, (optional by the hour) around 05:30 am, we will sail on the Momon river, for an hour to enjoy the song that the birds emit when they wake up and go search for their food.
After breakfast, we will visit Piraña Park, private reserve, is the right place to enjoy nature, has five lakes, fish piranhas and another fish of the región. After lunch, we will explore the jungle, visiting the riverside communities of Gen Gen and Centro Fuerte, we will appreciate their habits and customs of these people living on the river bank; they have as main activity the agriculture and the fishing; they grow cassava and banana, they use small canoes to fish. You will visit the Botanical Garden, called 'Chullachaqui', the expert of the place will give explanations of the medicinal plants that exist in the place.

After dinner, we will sail by boat on the Momon river, at the appropriate moment the guide will turn off the boat's engine and in complete silence the boat will slide, we will observe the moon, stars and enjoy the chorus of nocturnal animals, frogs, owls, birds, jumping fish and other creatures of the night.

LODGE – RIO NANAY – IQUITOS – AEROPUERTO
We prepare to return to the city, on the way we visit the indigenous tribe of the Boras, who will welcome us with their traditional songs and dances; they will Invite us to participate; They will also offer us for sale or barter their handicrafts.
We will visit Pilpintuwasi, whose Quechua name means ‘Butterfly house’, located on the Nanay River, in the town of Padre Cocha, created by Dr. Austriaca Gudrun Sperrer, houses about two thousand species of butterflies the most striking, is an opportunity to observe one of the most fascinating phenomena of nature, the complete metamorphosis in its natural environment, after its short life of existence. We will observe the varieties of the Morpho iridescent, the Heliconius with bright red spots, species with swallow tail and those with owl eyes, among many others. In another area we will observe monkeys, anteater, sloths, otorongos, tapir and several macaws. Open from Tuesday to Sunday 9am. at 4pm.
City Tour:
The Boulevard: Located in front of the Itaya River, one block from the Plaza de Armas, has a great view of the Amazon River.
Mainsquare: It is a very colorful place, it is the meeting point of tourists.

Lake and Quistococha Zoo: Located 20 minutes from the city, near the airport, we will observe a collection of different animals of the region, such as monkeys, cats, birds of different colors, paiches and dolphins. The Zoo is built on the beach of Lake Quistococha with white sand and is very popular.
